Blue Space Highland
Blue Space Highland provide wellbeing support and opportunities to engage in blue space activity. You can access their services through a community link worker or by self referral.
Our mission includes a very clear intention to address the mental health challenges faced by those who ‘just get on with it’ and put the welfare of others ahead of themselves. Single parents, carers, emergency workers, low-income families are all examples of people who focus their lives to making everything better for everyone but themselves.

Nairn Beach Wheelchairs
We are a small charity, run by volunteers, supported by a wonderful community of people who would like to see Nairn beach accessible to everyone. We offer three types of wheelchairs free to hire from the Nairn Beach Cabin at the Leisure Centre.
Call us on the mobile number: 07354 471463 and we will go through our set questions to ensure we understand what you need.
We are always on the look out for helpers so if you’d have any skills or time you’d like to offer, do get in touch.

Walking initiatives

P4W Walks
P4W Walk supports a number of health-walks that take place regularly across Highland – the walks are open to everyone and are free to access.
Paths for All
Paths for All’s aim is to support people in Scotland to be active every day. Walking is the easiest and most accessible way to do this.
To change the way people move, travel and enjoy life in Scotland, their work focuses on three themes:
- Walking is for everyone.
- Walking is for everywhere.
- Walking is for every day.
Befrienders Highland
Our walking and gardening groups no longer meet – we found it really hard to sustain the membership, so we now signpost folk who have those interests to existing groups that meet in their locality, and our volunteers will go along with their friend if necessary when they first start, just for some moral support until their confidence grows.
Nature 4 Health
Nature 4 Health is a health walk group that have been using mindful nature-based therapy to help those who suffer with mental illness. They run a programme of walks in the Inverness area, as well as day tours throughout Highland.
Clarity Walks
Clarity walk is a social enterprise that aims to improve mental health and well-being through 1-hour no phone nature walks.

Care in Strathnairn is here to provide friendship and service to the people of Strathnairn. It has evolved over the years, to become the group which takes elderly folk out for trips to places of interest, or for a bite to eat at places which are not too far away.
It also provides the Medicine Run – as long as the order has been placed at the surgery at Foyers in good time, medicines can be delivered as required, thus saving extra traffic on the road down to Foyers, as well as making sure people get what they need delivered safely to their door.
