Pathsforall Volunteers Awards celebrate people going the extra mile for their communities.
Pathsforall announced the winners of their Volunteer Awards 2022 at an uplifting ceremony at The Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh. The 13th annual Volunteer Awards took place on 28th September. Pathsforall celebrated 11 individuals and groups who have made amazing contributions to the health and wellbeing of their communities.
The awards represent those giving their time and passion to inspire others to walk, lead Health Walks, improve local paths and encourage people to travel actively.
MSP Paul McLennan sponsored the event with broadcaster Fiona Stalker hosting and awards being presented by Maree Todd Minister for Public Health, Women’s Health, and Sport.
This year’s winners included a walking group supporting wellbeing within the refugee community in Glasgow, a project in Glenboig helping children to school safely on a walking bus and a community path group in Kingussie who have transformed the walking environment for locals and visitors to the village.
