The Highland Charter for Climate, Nature and Health was at the heart of the Highlands & Islands Climate Hub’s recent activities at Belladrum, where they joined Moray CAN and Outfit Moray in the Walled Garden to connect with festival-goers and raise awareness of the Charter.
Across the weekend, visitors got involved in creative activities including making zines and climate bunting, and powering smoothies on the smoothie bike. Visitors were encouraged to spin the Charter pledge wheel and add their commitments and hopes for the future to the Charter Tree. It was a great opportunity to have conversations about climate, nature and health and introduce more people to the Charter and its shared vision.
The Charter has now reached 100 signatories – 42 organisations and 58 individuals. This growing network demonstrates the strength of collaborative action across the Highlands and the commitment to creating a healthier, more sustainable and resilient region.
